Mine is leaking and I've ordered a new one.
Any tips and suggestions from those who have done this fix would be much appreciated.

What engine? IF it's the two pot S126, yes I did replace it.
Water pump replacement is not a bad job. Drain the cooling system. Remove all the hoses. Remove water pump. Scrape off old gasket materiel from the block.
I like to use black RTV. Smear some on the block where the WP gasket goes. smear some on the WP. Do use the gasket also as some gaskets also act as a spacer.
Installation steps are opposite of removal.
IF you do use the RTV, allow it to cure before filling the radiator and engine with coolant and water. ....

Many thanks for the reply and tips.
Did you remove the radiator to make it easier to reach the pump and fan blade bolts?
My wife has family (Crowell) who live in the Royse City area.
