Just purchased a used E14D Hinomoto (approx 20 years old). Everything pn dash is written in Japanese except for "oil, horn and glow plug". On the dash there are two turn knobs, I think one is for the lights but have no clue what the other is for? Does anyone know?

I have a E14D and the second switch is for the signals, do you have a oil filter number by chance? Can't find one yet.

Slick ....

Sorry for the bad info on the oil filter and for hijacking the thread!

The filter I have on my E14D is an STP 02827 but I cannot find one anywhere. I was told the E14D is the same as a Massey Ferguson 1010. Fram's web site shows this tractor takes a PH2951. I bought an equivalent in a cheap brand and it fits. The rubber seal has a bigger diameter and overhangs the oil filter mount but it should seal just fine. ....

Thank you for the scoop on the oil filter, I will try out that number. Are you using synthetic oil in your tractor? And and the same for the gear oil?

Thank you for what ever information you can give me as I am still new to this machine, liking it but new. :^) ....

I use just a regular 30w conventional oil for the engine and a universal transmission / hydraulic oil for the transmission. I read that Massey recommended their Permatran III hydraulic oil so I just looked for universal oil that claimed to meet specs for Permatran III. The hydraulic oil was Atwoods brand (local farm supply store) and sold for $29.95 / 5 gallon bucket. I read in other posts that the E14D should take about 5 - 5 1/2 gallons in the transmission and about 1 quart in the front differential and about 1/2 quart in each of the gear housings (I'm not sure what you call it) at the front wheels.
Back to your question about synthetics, I haven't tried any in the tractors or any of my cars & trucks so I don't know much about synthetic oils. ....

It’s for blinkers there on the back finders. You wouldn’t happen to know how to change out the PTO seal would you? ....
