I am looking at compact tractors in the 30 HP range. I will be using it for dragging our riding ring, bush hogging, moving shavings and manure piles, and some snow removal. I am looking at both a CASE and a New Holland. Any suggesting or recommendations?

(My understanding as of 2005)
To say Case and New Holland are different is to say GMC and Chevy pickups are different; both are made on the same assembly line.
As the corporate name CNH implies, Case-New Holland---they're the same. In fact New Hollands are rebadged Shibauras. My TC33D NH was assembled in Georgia, USA.
If you're gonna do it, go for the bells and whistles--the D on mine means deluxe--suspended seat, cruise control, lights, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, 4x4 with select-trac, SuperSteer, hydrostat drive.
33-34 hp with a hydro is more than adequate for what you want to do. And at about 4000 lb. it's easy to trailer since you will now have NEW friends who will need you lol ....

If you're not happy with the dealer you got your car from, you just drive elsewhere for parts/service. Not that easy with a tractor. You are so much more dependent on the dealer that this can be more important than the brand. ....

Thanks for the information. I did like one of the dealers better than the other and that one is also closer. ....
