was wondering if its possible for me to weld a new section
of this flange that broke when some stripped bolts let go and
two at top didn't which broke the flange at this spot.
I wonder if I cut this section out on a bevel for a piece
of steel to lay into the the bevel cut and weld the new section in good then grind and drill out two new holes where
the old ones were. Would a stick weld hold using the right
rod using my old Miller stick welder?
I hate buying a brake housing part if I don't have to.
The broken flange part is on the top of the housing flange
so not as much stress like would be on the bottom.
Im going to replace all bolts with new Time Sert thread
system.

This looks like a casting which I guess is real hard to
weld, has anyone ever welded this stuff. ....
