My neighbor bought a new 4300 sync. rev. He had it less than a day and the dealership came and picked it up to split the tractor. The clutch is missing shims or something to that nature. Has anyone else had this problem??

This is true, 4200 4300 however not on all. The problem happens (if it going to) atonce, in creeper& reverse gear. If your tractor has a few hours on it and you noticeno problem then there will not be one. I am one of the luck ones, however recall noticecovers all built. Dealer to test tractor by letting it warm up for a hour or so, thenplace it in reverse or and creeper gear. If clutch does not work properly then a shim andbearing adjustment is necessary, which means splitting case. ....

Does anyone know what the symptom is? Just hard to shift, or what?I have about 30 hours on a 4300 SyncReverser and it seems to be ok. The shift linkage for the hi range could be a little better but otherwise ok.Thanks,Charlie ....

It will not stop when you push in clutch, mostley in creeper or reverse, if you have30 hrs and no problem you are one of the lucky ones, this is a problem which is therewhen you buy the tractor, so if it has not done it, it wont. ....
